Analogue Mastering

Analogue mastering processes music recordings through analogue equipment, such as tape machines and outboard processors, to improve the sound and prepare it for CD, vinyl or streaming. It is often described as warmer and more natural than digital mastering.

Analogue mastering

Delivery: stereo WAV or AIFF files at 24 bit / 44 kHz or higher.

Using analogue outboard equipment from API, Tegeler Audiomanufaktur, Drawmer and others.

Recording to ½-inch BASF analogue tape is available on request (additional €50.00 excl. VAT).

As loud or as quiet as you prefer, always musical and suitable for radio.

Per track: flat rate of €70.00 excl. VAT.

Send me a demo and I will create a test master. If you like it, you can commission me to master your single, album or live recording. There are many possibilities, but rather than add more technical jargon to what is already available online, I prefer to let the result speak for itself.

The deciding questions are: does the music sound better, and does the emotion come across? I can guarantee that for 90% of mixdowns. The remaining 10% tend to be restoration projects, which I am also happy to take on, such as improving recordings from ½-inch tape or MP3s.

Analogue stem mastering from €20.00 excl. VAT per stem.

Delivery: up to 20 tracks divided into groups, such as drums, bass, instruments, lead vocals, backing vocals and effects, plus a rough mix or master for reference.

Stem mastering allows much more targeted adjustments and can produce even better results than mastering a stereo mix.

Where possible, the client attends the session, or we agree on rounds of revisions. For more information, please call +49 152 335 938 46.

Per track: from €100.00 excl. VAT or by agreement. Discounts are available for five or more tracks.
